Your gift of cash will be applied immediately. Unrestricted gifts of cash provide us with the support and flexibility needed to respond to emerging threats around the globe or where it is needed most. If you would like your gift to go to a specific program, however, please indicate the program on the online form or when submitting your gift by mail.

Monthly Giving
By making an automatic gift each month, you can ensure that you are consistently growing our far-reaching efforts to save cranes and the threatened places they call home – every day of the year! Your credit/debit card will be automatically charged near the first day of each month, and of course, you can change or cancel your gift at any time. Appreciated Stock
Your gift of appreciated stock will be applied where it is needed most immediately or to the designated program of your choice. In addition to the charitable deduction, as allowed by federal tax law, a gift of appreciated stock allows you to avoid capital gains tax on the appreciation, granting you significant personal tax savings. A Gift from Your IRA
If you are 70 ½ years of age or older, you can choose to direct an amount of up to $100,000 per year to the International Crane Foundation as a Qualified Charitable Distribution. Doing so lowers your gross taxable income, thus saving on your overall tax burden. This is a great option for managing the tax effects from Required Minimum Distributions.  Please speak with your tax advisor or IRA plan administrator to determine what is best for your situation. In order to qualify, distributions must be sent directly to the International Crane Foundation, which is a qualified 501(c)(3) organization eligible to receive tax-deductible contributions.

Multi-Year Pledges
You may decide to make your gift using either cash or appreciated stock over a period of time up to five years, providing the International Crane Foundation with a sustainable source of support. Please contact our development offices in order to pledge a multi-year gift today.

Matching Gifts
Did you know that you can potentially double, or even triple, your gift to the International Crane Foundation?  Many organizations offer employee giving programs that match donations made by their employees to nonprofit charities.

If your company offers a matching gift program, contact your Human Resources manager and request your company’s matching gift form. Complete the form and include it with your donation and mail to the International Crane Foundation at the address below.  If your company offers online submission, you may submit the matching gift form online and notify us that your donation will be matched when submitting your donation by mail or online.
