Nearly 150 poetry lovers voted for their favorite Poetry in the Prairie submissions, and our People’s Choice Award winners are:

Our first place winners will each receive a one-year Individual Membership to the International Crane Foundation and a signed copy of The Quality of Cranes: A Little Book of Crane Lore, by International Crane Foundation Librarian Betsy Didrickson. The second and third place winners will each receive a signed copy of The Quality of Cranes.

Thanks to everyone who participated in our Poetry in the Prairie competition, celebrating cranes and the places they call home. We received more than 140 entries from around the world and the competition was stiff! Our judges embraced their very challenging job of reading every poem and the scores have been tallied.
