Janet McKennaAfter growing up in Ohio, Janet moved to Wisconsin to attend Marquette University and went on to teach high school and junior high. After teaching, she has pursued  a “volunteer career” in education , museum, and conservation activities. These include docent at the Milwaukee Public Museum for thirty years, President of the Friends of the Milwaukee Public Museum, the Board of the Waukesha County Land Conservancy, Master Gardener of Southeast Wisconsin, and Kettle Moraine Garden Club. While serving on the International Crane Foundation Board, Jan has tried to share the message of crane conservation with friends and the larger community.  She is married to Jim and they enjoy travel, biking, hiking, and spending time with their grandchildren.  “Leading by example and teaching youngsters about conservation and philanthropy is the most important legacy we can leave to future generations.”
