Other special activities include a guided prairie walk, radio-tracking demonstrations, photo opportunities with Hope, our Whooping Crane mascot, and special talks by our expert staff!

*For Crane City tours, please wear comfortable walking shoes. Participants need to place booties over their shoes and dip in a mild bleach foot bath.
Walk among prairie smoke, 6-foot-tall compass plants, swaying big bluestem, and dozens of other native species on a special guided prairie tour at our headquarters the second Saturday of every month beginning in May through October. The International Crane Foundation will be hosting a Share Night at the Culver’s restaurant in West Baraboo on Wednesday, October 25 and will receive a 15% donation of total sales between 4-8 pm. Please consider purchasing a cup of custard, coffee or even a butter burger to help build support for our cause. There is no excuse not to visit since the flavor of the day will be Caramel Fudge Cookie Dough. Thank you for your custard-sideration!
