Jasper-Pulaski Fish and Wildlife Area in Medaryville, Indiana is an amazing place to view thousands of Sandhill Cranes in the fall. If you’re lucky, you might get to see a Whooping Crane, too! The International Crane Foundation will have staff or volunteers present at the viewing platforms on October 20, 21, 27 and 28. The best time to view the cranes is near sunset, so expect to see us there around 5 p.m. until it gets close to dark. Bring binoculars, a scope and a camera if you have them. If not, you’ll still have a great time viewing and listening to the cranes!
