Exciting Patch Program The International Crane Foundation is pleased to partner with the Girl Scouts of Black Hawk Council, Inc. of Madison, Wisconsin to offer an exciting patch program. The ICF patch program gives girls at all program levels the opportunity to learn about cranes on a local and international level. They will not only learn about cranes and crane habitats, but will explore foreign cultures and learn how historically cranes have played important roles in these cultures. The patch will give Girl Scouts the opportunity to participate in crane habitat improvement projects, and discover ways the International Crane Foundation works with cranes and communities all over the world. Girls can express their creativity through art and drama and even incorporate a visit to the International Crane Foundation's headquarters in Baraboo, Wisconsin. The patch requirements are available for download from the Black Hawk Council's website at www.girlscoutsofblackhawk.org or by contacting Juli Speck, Environmental Educator for the Black Hawk Council at (608) 276-8500 Ext. 3029. Girl Scouts from around the country are encouraged to participate. |
