ICF's education projects in China provide information, instruction and inspiration to engage people in the conservation of cranes and the ecosystems on which they depend. Our projects range from the development of school curricula and environmental camps to training programs for teachers and nature reserve staff.

One Helps One Program The One Helps One Program was developed by ICF to promote education for young women in rural China. The program was initiated in 1998 at the Cao Hai Nature Reserve in Guizhou Province. The reserve is an important wintering area for the threatened Black-necked Crane and is home to 30,000 people, who live in one of the poorest regions of China. Read more
Environmental Education Programs Since 2003, ICF, in partnership with Beijing Brooks Education Center, has worked with Chinese educators and nature reserve staff to develop environmental education programs that focus on the importance of wetlands to people, cranes, and other wildlife, as well as the effects of human use on the continued survival of these wild resources.
