Ever wonder what happens to all that newspaper sent for recycling? We found some of it made into super strong, durable and earth-friendly graphite and color pencils.

Old newspaper is flattened, cut it to the right width, and coated with water-based glue before wrapping it around high quality graphite 36 times. After it is air dried and then heat dried, the newspaper hardens without any air pocket. That means the pencils won't break so they last up to 3 times longer than traditional wood pencils!
