Adopt a Crane

Becoming a Crane "Parent"

george_archibald"All my life I have cared about animals. As Co-founder of the International Crane Foundation (ICF) – a global community of scientists, educators, landowners and community leaders – I have worked for nearly 40 years to save cranes and their habitats.

Together with partners, we work around the world to develop effective solutions to the greatest challenges facing cranes and the natural places where they live.

Central to ICF’s work is our global headquarters in Baraboo, Wisconsin – a place of gathering, research, education, inspiration and home to the 15 species of cranes and our resident flock of over 100 birds.

By adopting a crane you will join me in caring for these special birds by helping provide food and medical care for one crane for one full year. You will also support ICF’s research, educational efforts, habitat preservation and restoration, captive breeding, and reintroduction programs.

In the spirit of saving cranes,
Dr. George Archibald
ICF Co-Founder & Senior Conservationist
